    Hi Jeanette, we thought it was important for customers to know that your purchase was made almost two years ago, and like most well-loved and well worn-things, the TailCinch tail ties do not last forever. Since they're a relatively inexpensive product, we hope that loyal customers who love them will come back and replenish their supply when the product reaches the end of their usable lifespan. As you can imagine, silicone and the glue that binds them to textile materials is heat sensitive, and over time it will deteriorate.     We LOVE these products! They are extremely helpful for tying up tails at our vet clinic to keep injections sanitary without their tail swishing all over the place.     I think the bands are too short- I have a draft cross with a very thick tail and one strap will not fit around her tail.

    Hi Becky thanks for the feedback! As we mention in the product description, the straps are meant to be one size fits all since it's so hard for people to know which 'size' to order for their horse because measuring is very difficult on tails based on how people want to tie them... so rather than offer a longer strap, we make them extendable by attaching two or more to each other end to end. This would cost the same as ordering a longer strap, so we just do it this way for simplicity.

    I find this actually falls out of my thick welsh's tail when driving him. I had such high hopes for it. It's made sturdy and velcro is strong, but it slips down no matter how tight I makenit(within a safe tension on the dock)
